According to a Monday announcement, Microsoft is expanding its partnership with SAS Institute Inc. and Microsoft Azure, SAS ‘s favorite cloud service provider.
Both companies are combining their technologies, with SAS offerings developed to promote artificial intelligence and data processing applications including ‘Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and Power Network.’ The Azure IoT Platform is already operated by SAS’s “edge-to-cloud IoT analysis and AI capacity.”
Azure Marketplace was completed in March with SAS ‘Viya In-Memory Analytics solution. According to the SAS landing page on which Microsoft integrations are presented, Viya will be created to use “containers, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Synapse, and other Microsoft services.
Two companies plan to include additional SAS products in Microsoft’s cloud services later this year. Product co-sales are also included in their plans. SAS currently uses “internal operation” solutions from Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365.
SAS provides its clients as a managed service company in the context of a collaboration with Microsoft. It also helps with the Azure container deployments and has a cloud analytics service from SAS Retail hosted on Azure via the SAS home page.
